• Concept The 45 chair is the very definition of a masterpiece and has become emblematic of Finn Juhl's creative genius. Presented at the Copenhagen Woodworkers' Guild Exhibition in 1945, it was described as "the mother of all modern chairs" by Japanese professor and seating expert Noritsugu Oda. This chair was one of the first to break with the armchair tradition of the time, by dissociating the upholstered parts from the wooden structure. With the 45 chair, Finn Juhl has created an elegant seat, faithful to the innovative style he had been developing for several years. The result is a pure, solid and refined chair, marking a silent revolution. The space between the frame and seat lends an impression of lightness which, combined with its organic shapes and fine details, gives it a unique beauty. It is also extremely comfortable, appealing to all the senses. The 45 chair is available in oak or walnut, with fabric or leather upholstery.
